I am a self-data collecting vegetarian who enjoys practicing yoga.
I’m Joe! This is me, personally and professionally, in a nutshell.
I like bicycles, have tattoos, and enjoy finding interesting articles on the Internet. I don't eat meat and am not a preachy vegetarian. As a profession, I am a digital strategist with a variety of skills specific to social media and digital advertising. I went to school for capturing images and still find time for this passion. I am slightly nerdy and can turn my bedroom lights on and off with my Pebble watch. My lights change colors based on the swell height. The ocean is my happy place and I am often found bodysurfing up and down the California coast. I enjoy running at night and on trails for more of a challenge. Below are my top 5 strengths derived from the Gallups Strengths Finder. This test is based on a 40-year study of human strengths, Gallup created a language of the 34 most common talents and developed the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment to help people discover and describe these talents. Knowing these strengths helps one understand how to leverage their natural skills on a day to day basis and be most effective.

“Joseph was a pleasure to work with at Yahoo! He always had a positive attitude and was willing to go above and beyond what was necessary to make sure his clients were completely satisfied. Joseph has great communication skills and works exceptionally well with people of differing skill sets and on all levels of a corporation. His attention to detail, timeliness and professionalism set him apart from the competition. I would, without hesitation, hire him in the future or recommend him for a position.”
Derek Babb, VP Account Services at Rauxa
“I was fortunate enough to see Joseph begin his career at Yahoo! and run with the opportunity. The frontpage team as a general rule was for people who had quite a few years experience in the online advertising world. I can say without a doubt that Joseph did a great job and hit the ground running. Despite having little experience, he was able to make the role all his own. He also is very aware of emerging technologies which I think is a great asset to have in this sort of field. He is an old soul, very mature for his age and will do what he needs to do to get the job done. Overall, Joseph would make a great addition to any team.”
Mark Sartoris, Producer - Live Events, Shazam For TV at Shazam Entertainment
“Joe is incredibly savvy in the social space and continually seeks to expand his knowledge of the product offerings available. In addition to his wealth of knowledge, Joe is incredibly detail oriented and transparent throughout the campaign launch and performance process. This level of communication has a clear impact on overall success. Joe would be very well suited in a variety of roles involving strategy and execution of social marketing campaigns and initiatives. Beyond that, Joe is a pleasure to work with. His enthusiasm and advocacy are exemplary.”

I currently work on a Macbook Pro running 10.9. My go-to apps on both my computer and on my iPhone 5 are Wunderlist, Evernote, RunKeeper, UP, MyFitnessPal, Hue, WeMo, and Magic Seaweed. I have an old Nikon D80 with a fixed 50mm lens; however, I take most photos on my iPhone since the best camera is the one that you have with you. In the house, I have Hue lights that are activated through a WeMo Sensor. I also have a WeMo Switch that controls my space heater. All of my smarthome items run through IFTTT which helps with automation and allows things like making sure everything is powered down when I leave my home to be possible.
For entertainment, I have an old MacBook running Plex. I have an elaborate setup for organizing my media that involves Hazel, Handbrake, Growl, and Pushover. Due to the awesomeness of Plex, I am able to watch my media everywhere, but I primarily stream to either of the Chromecast’s in my house. My Pebble is handy, giving me the ability to control almost everything in my house in addition to being a nifty little weather station on my wrist throughout the day.
